Final Wars's entertainment value is definitely subjective (I find I'm entertained by "parts," and I love the movie's style, but as a whole narrative it is in fact boring), but I think it's hard to deny that the monsters got shortchanged bigtime, the fight choreography and editing is clunky, and yada.

I've been wanting to re-watch it lately (in addition to GMK!). First time I watched it, I had already stepped over my initial dissapointments and moderately enjoyed it. Second time, about the same. Third time, years later.... boredom.

Anywho, I woulda swore I had posted my list here, but I guess I hadn't. Here's my list:

It's hard for me to really rank them from favorite to least, so I listed them like this.

I've come to realize that the only Godzilla movies I genuinely dislike are Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus.

Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Godzilla x Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo SOS are bad movies, but they're entertaining enough when I'm actually in the mood to watch one of them. Godzilla's Revenge isn't usually my cup of tea, but I do feel like watching it once in a while.

But I never find myself wanting to watch Spacegodzilla or Megaguirus.

No matter how many times I do Godzilla film rankings, Final Wars will always be at the bottom. Absolutely horrid film....if I want to confirm most people's negative opinions about kaiju flicks...I need only show them this. Even my 7 year old nephew didn't like it(where's the monsters?).
