The bad reviews and good reviews both seem to cite the overabundance of CGI, which is what I feared from the beginning. I'm down, but not out. I still plan on seeing this movie in theaters. I will report back when I do... though I'm sure nothing I say will change anything. I'm going in expecting to enjoy it for what it is, but be disappointed that it's The Thing. Similar to how I feel about GINO.

The leaked pics for Prometheus looks incredible. Giger Alien or not the movie is going to be top notch!

I feared this would be mostly CGI but whatever I can deal with it as long as its not awful CGI... I just love the story and concept.

As for the trilogy I didn't mean remake Carpenters thing, the studio already acknowledge this is a prequel in this timeline so they could just end up doing a sequel to Carpenters.
