Honestly, while I'd love to see Taker as a heel, because it's right in his wheelhouse and he's a GREAT heel, I don't think it would really work because he's just too well liked due to his living legend status...
Every time they've tried to turn him heel in the last 10 years or so (Brothers of Destruction, Ministry of Darkness, other examples) he's been too popular for anybody to boo him.
As for Raw tonight, love the idea of the Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match...more for putting Punk back in the title chase than for the idea itself, but also because it pretty firmly put Del Rio off to a side instead of dead-center. Although I will admit, Del Rio had a nice showing on Raw tonight...I was expecting whininess and a loss, kinda like how Sheamuthey could have put s became a total non-factor for a while there (when he was losing to Santino and holding tenuously onto the US title), but Del Rio dominated.
I also loved Mark Henry's spot...a lot. It was brimming witha subdued, depressed rage AND they managed to not completely embarrass Jim Ross for once. Though I would have preferred to see someone other than Lawler come to JR's defense...mostly because they could have used that opportunity to make a face out of either Swagger or Ziggler so the two could carry a feud for the US title without needing random faces thrown in just so the crowd has someone to cheer for. Just seems like a SLIGHT missed opportunity.
Mark Henry is really working as a behemoth/monster and I'd actually like to see him have a long title run.
Not sure about the 'firing' of Miz/Truth, but I will admit, it was a little bit unexpected and there is some potential there for some entertainment.
Oh and apparently, the semi-hot rumor is that Nash had to be (legitimately) helped out of the arena at Night of Champions.
If true, that could explain why he was totally neglected tonight...if he's getting hurt after five minutes of "wrestling" then he's probably done for good.
and WOO, WOO, WOO, you know it! Ryder baby!
