We went to see it yesterday and enjoyed the film but wished the villain was just... better. He didn't seem like a credible threat even after he was powered up by the MacGuffin. Hopefully we get a sequel with a better end-boss

Well, I watched this, mostly to kill time. It's okay, it's no better or worse than the old movies, really. Though I feel like this is vaguely closer to what I felt a Conan movie should be.
