Issue #9 cover.....could Powell and Marsh be off this after issue #8??????!!! One can only hope....*fingers crossed*

But it looks like Santos will still be doing the art/interiors :puke:

Whoa, a new writer? HELL YEAH. And I love Santos' art, so I'm happy he'll still be around for awhile longer, though I DO hope we get someone else relatively soon just to keep things varied. Like the sort of pop art flavor this new cover has. It's not amazing, but I wouldn't be against owning it.

As for Powell's absence... Hmm, I'll wait for confirmation. I'll agreet that his writing was kinda phoned in, but it wasn't poor enough to make me not enjoy what we've got so far. If he is off, we could get somebody way better.... or we could get somebody way worse. (crosses fingers)

And bring on more Santos! I don' care! :P

I'd just like to say that for all those who've hated Powell's writing on Godzilla please give The Goon a try. While Powell didn't seem to get in the swing of doing Godzilla, his The Goon is one of the best comics of the last decade, and just about as fun and well illustrated a comic as you'll ever see.
