Bane in general looks like a Mortal Kombat character. Soooooo you're mad that Bane looks like Bane?

And he's probably about the same height as Batman (sans ears), but I dunno if he's SMALLER. His legs look like tree stumps in that pic where he's got his hand around Batman's neck. As far as his arms go, its hard to see how big they are since he's got sleeves on. And his chest is also covered with a vest... soooo, again, how do you know he's not that big again? I work in a gym and I can tell you first hand its impossible to see how big someone is when they are wearing that much clothing.

Just because he's not cartoonishly big like in the comic book doesn't mean he's not big (and I prefer it that way.) Remember, this is the Nolanverse, where the Joker wears makeup. If Bane has to take a slight size cutback for someone as amazing as Tom Hardy to play him, I'm all for it (and its less of a diversion from the comics than a makeup wearing Joker). And as I mentioned earlier, he's still no pipsqueek.

People are so quick to say things look bad from a few paparazzi pictures. Maybe they are going to film Bane from angles that make him look bigger (they used to do that ALL THE TIME in the 80s with guys like Arnold, Stallone and Lundgren). Bane's size isn't even what's cool about him. What's cool about him is that he's super smart and knows all of Batman's weaknesses.

Even if that IS the way he appears in the film, he looks fine to me. Complaining that Bane isn't big enough is like complaining that Jean Grey's hair isn't red enough in the X-Men movies. Its still red (and Bane is still big), but its just not the exact spec that certain people want. And honestly, both are lame complaints that will be pretty irrelevant to the quality of the film(s).

Also, its pretty normal to wear big coats when its cold and there is snow outside. It keeps people from uh... freezing. Also, the coat isn't that big nor puffy, (seriously, what the hell kind of complaint is that?).





Sorry, but that is a pretty wide dude. You can definitely see some bigness going on in the neck/shoulders (the onlly portion of his body that we can actually see since it isn't covered up). He'll only be bigger without all that cover. I wouldn't wanna fight him and he's definitely got some muscle on Bats.
