It's true people are already bitching about Bane on other forums. You have to take his characters in the context for which they are being portrayed and in Nolan's world he gives them to you in a more realistic way. He has been interviewed and was greatly concerned about putting certain villains on screen because they don't translate to film that well. I hope we never see a Batman movie like Joel Schumacher made every again. As we know directors can destroy comic book franchises. Nolan cares about the source. He gave Ledger a copy of the killing joke
to go on when Dark knight was being filmed.

I thought Schumacher's desire to do a legitimately good Batman film after the studio forced him to make toy commercials is what paved the way for Nolan's films?
