Dr Terror's House of Horrors- An anthlogy film that shows five men on a train who get their fortunes read by torrot cards. The only reason I watched it was because there was a werewolf skit and it wasn't very good at that.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban- Excellent installement in the film franchise. Gearing myself up toward Deathly Hollows Pt 2 next month.

Laura (1944) - 35mm print at the wonderful Heights theater. A classic noir film I'd never heard of. Really very good with plenty of twists and great casting and writing. I was surprised to see a young Vincent Price in one of the main supporting roles! He plays a flighty sleazeball with plenty of charm & good manners. I'd give it ***1/2 of ****.

I love You Phillip Morris (2009)
Pretty good film, and I was genuinely surprised (having not read the actual history behind the film) that it didn't end on a depressing note.

Transformers (2007) re-watching this in preparation for the third travesty. The first movie, while bad, still had the promise for a more refined sequel...too bad that did not happen.

Evil Dead

Never saw this one, must say it was truly amazing! Loved every minute of it. I still personally think the second one is the best, but this follows up with it. Great series.

Unknown

Great movie! Loved Neeson in this movie. I must say though, this wasn't his best, but it wasn't it worst either. Still, loved the mystery and suspense in it, and thought the film was still great all around. Would watch it again.

Tonight I am gonna see Scott Pilgrim vs. the World tonight for the first time, so that should be fun. Will post my thoughts about it later on tonight.

I didn't know it was getting any buzz. I didn't really mind that it walked all those lines without picking one, because I remained entertained the whole way through. It's not an AMAZING movie, but it is well done. *shrug*

I watched Cars 2. I'd rather sit through this Cars iteration a hundred times than watch the first one, but it doesn't mean it was all that good.

Okay, last night just saw Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and the one thing I must say is that this movie "made me swallow my gum, and now its gonna be in my digestive track for 7 years!"

My lord, I loved this movie! It was so fun and awesome! I couldn't stop laughing at so many scenes. I loved the little Zelda score cues they kept throwing in here in there and the movie was so fresh, and to my knowledge, original! I was just so blown away! The characters were constructed well and fit the story perfectly. I didn't recognize any plot holes so that was good too. I just loved the movie so much! The romance wasn't too excessive and the comedy was just right. It wasn't exhausted in any way, and it made you laugh when you were suppose to. The action scenes were definitely done very well. I loved how all the superhero-like stuff was just normal in the film. I thought it was a neat touch instead of having characters in the movie doing the typical "huh?" or "what a freak?" gestures when a fight took place. The other thing I liked was how the people Scott would fight turned into coins when they were defeated.

All in all, this was a great movie, and I totally recommend it! :D

Scott Pilgrim is based on a comic book, so not completely original.

Just Saw Super 8. Totally loved it. Took me back to my adolescence in so many ways. And while I could see people saying Abrams mimiced early Speilberg too much, I thought it was perfect.

Watched Wristcutters: a Love Story. It was actually pretty entertaining, I didn't know it had the fantasy element to it, and it turned out pretty decent.

The Disappearance of Flight 412

A UFO movie in which absolutely nothing happens? What a great idea!

The Green Hornet

I must say, I liked this movie, but I hated Seth Rogan's character in the film, and I mean that in a good way. I mean, he was clearly a "jerk" in the movie and he did a good job portraying that. It was a good and new type of role for him, but it also kept the comedy in it, so it was really good.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

I thought this film was better then the second one, but this one was much more cliche but a lot more comedic. I must say about this series, it is indeed popular. My local Harkins was just packed when I went to go see it and almost 80% of the attendees there were there just to see the film.

Jurassic Park 3

Saw this with my nephews yesterday. It brought a smile to my face to see them get scared and get excited when a dinosaur would come on screen. :)

The Other Guys

I normally like WIll Ferrell, but this movie just didn't work for me.

Well, that wraps up most of what I saw these past few weeks. Going to go see Captain America this weekend, so that should be fun, hopefully.
