^ ah they tried to give an afterburner effect to the MG figure. Nice. The colors on that Baragon are really a nice combination. It looks very "Showaistic". The 60s and 70s are known for that loud and explosive color theme. Megalon has sort of a mean expression with those eyes. LOL!

My second Trendmasters Godzilla finally arrived. Cost only $12, same as my first one.

Its the "Supercharged" version, from the Godzilla Wars series.

And finally, some comparisons with the Normal version.

And just for fun.

EDIT: Damn it, why did I put a space in "inadequate?"

Ahhh the old Trendmaster Supercharged Godzilla. It was the first Godzilla gift I was given many Christmases ago, and the catalyst that jump-started my kaiju figure collecting. This toy will always have a special place in my heart.

I never had the Supercharged Godzilla, just the regular green release. I always kind of dug the color scheme though.

I got a bunch of Bandai stuff in the mail last week, courtesy of AmiAmi as always.

Image

Since most of you aren't into the Kamen Rider side of things, I'll just skim over them by saying that OOO TaJaDol is probably the best OOO Figuart yet, Faiz Blaster needs less crappy hands, and that's the classiest plastic book made to hold coins I've seen in a while.

Neo Baltan from Ultraman Cosmos is nicely painted, although it has the cheaper spray-painted style of paints apps from older Bandai vinyls, which I'm not sure why Bandai has returned to doing. It's also made of the cheapest, thinnest garbage vinyl I've ever had the unfortunate luck of owning. Buy an older Neo Baltan if you want one. This is not worth it.

ImageImage

Kyrielod, from Ultraman Tiga, was purchased on a whim while AmiAmi had him on sale. This was well before HLJ announced its own sale, which included all of the Tiga Ultra-Act figures at ridiculously low prices. I can understand why he had such an initial high cost. Kyrieloid is solid plastic, very heavy and sturdy in your hands. He has a lot of mass for a smaller Ultra-Act, plus the fire hand. His accessory count is pathetically low though, so I also see why he ended up on clearance. If he included the wings of his second incarnation, the price would be far more palatable.

Ultraman Leo is the best Ultraman in the line to-date. Every joint is sturdy, every detail in the sculpt is just perfect, and his accessories are nice. The best are by far his nunchaku, with an actual metal chain, and his hands hold them perfectly. The flaming fist and kick accessories (not pictured) don't fit too well, especially the kick accessory, but they do look great.

Image

Leo may be the best Ultra-Act Ultraman, but Magma Seijin may be the best figure in the entire damn line. I purchased two of these figures so that I could display Brother Blue and Brother Red at the same time, but that's the incredible part. Magma includes both of those heads, each with three separate facial expressions (smirking, stoic, open-mouthed rage). He includes the bladed arm both are wielding, the hook arm for Red, and even normal hands for both arms if you'd prefer to see them when not battle-ready.

With multiple Alien Magma figures, you could make all sorts of combinations if you'd like. All of the standard points of articulation are present since this is the base Ultra-Act body, but all share Leo's sturdiness and tightness. Nothing loose or prone to falling off here. Plus, even his hair is articulated on the back of his head, to prevent anything from interfering with his neck articulation! These guys turned out to be the true winners of my May AmiAmi order, and definite winners in my figure collection.

That Ultra-Act Ultraman Leo is sweet! I want one of those!

Some of the stuff that I recently picked up were an Ultra-Act Belial.

I also picked up a Bandai Eyearon.

Natsunome Dragon from Ultraman Max.

Gobunyu Ogma (or is it Ogma Gobunyu) from Tiga.

Daigerun

Sildron

And a Marmit Ann Yuri figure.

Two new additions to the Standard-sized vinyl kaiju legion: Yamanaya's Geronimon (left) and Keera (right) from the original ULTRAMAN (Keera was played by Haruo Nakajima)! These were released in 2000 and 2001, respectively.

These arrived with it as well. Two mini Battras.

Unfortunately the seller neglected to mention that he glued all of Battra's limbs in with uber cement glue (except the front legs, thankfully). So his head is kinda stuck at a slight angle, and I cant, for the life of me, break the glue. Oh well.

I always hated the promotional pics on the back, the Biollante and Gigan were much cooler looking than what we got.

The Gigan on the back of the TM packaging was the big Wave vinyl kit. Battra was the Bandai figure.

Space Godzilla might have been a Japanese kit too.
