Really loved this one. Best movie of the summer thus far, although that's not saying too much. Leaps better than Thor though.

I loved how it seemed to ignore Wolverine and X3. But as much as I liked it I really don't want a sequel. Not too keen on this movie being a reboot and we have sequels already. They're called X-Men and X2: X-Men United. The characters went through complete arcs and we know what goes down with them from there. Fin. I'd prefer a proper sequel to X2 by Singer. Or even Vaughn.

That said, I'm still a huge fan of it on its own. It's nice to watch an exciting X-Men movie and have it stuck in my mind for awhile like X2 was. I'm impressed Vaughn was able to pull this thing off under Fox, with barely a year's time and while also screwing January Jones. (Actually I've heard that last part was false, but it's a nice looking addition to his list of hurdles.)

I'll be throwing down money to see this again.

I just want to chime in and say what others before me have already said. This is a great super hero movie. Saw it Sunday night and was very impressed.

Spread the word of your enjoyment of it and hopefully more people will go and see it, which means it'll make more money and increase the chances for a sequel.

I don't disagree with you. There are some rough spots in this movie that X-Men and X2 were able to avoid easier. But I still think the good far outweighs the bad.

The film never has a boring moment, there's always something going on and with so many character arcs and sub-plots rocketing from every direction I felt it flowed very well from one moment to the next. The characters were very well fleshed out and, for the majority of the movie, the dialogue was fairly solid. Hell, the shoddy dialogue in X-Men didn't keep it from being great. (Toad. Lightning.)

But I will agree that these (minor) flaws keep it from hitting what X2 was.

And I'd still rather see a proper sequel to X2 than this. They've confused enough people this far with things that contradict Wolverine and X3, might as well embrace it.

This guy liked the movie enough to write a song and perform it.

I found it to be amusing.
