So this is getting fantastic reviews pretty much across the board. I'll know by tonight.

Also, from what I understand, this movie is a "loose prequel," mostly ignoring X3 and Wolverine (hey, that works for me!), and with some allusions to X1 and X2... they wrote it in a way where it could either stand on its own or be part of the already existing film series. I'm guessing that its because they might want to start a new series if this one does good (which would be fine by me).

I'm just disappointed in the fact that they snubbed 4 of the 5 founding X-Men. You would think that a movie about the origin of the X-Men (including being set in the 1960s and featuring the retro black and yellow uniforms) would have all 5 of the originals.

I'm a big fan of the Angel and am pretty bummed he got snubbed.

Oh my god, they actually made another good X-Men movie. This movie was excellent. I loved the certain specific cameo and they finally showed how badass Magneto is. The make-up on Beast was kind of crappy, but I'll take crappy make-up over Wolverine and X3 any day. BTW, there is nothing after the credits, which everyone that stayed (half the theater), starting booing about. While X2 is still the best, this is definitely the second best in the series. Oh yeah, and both actors for Magneto and Prof. X do look like younger versions of themselves not just in style but even facial structures. Kinda scary. Neverthleless, I give this ia 4/5. It isn't perfect, but it is what we should have gotten years ago.
The big cameo is having Hugh as Wolverine in one scene. Charles and Magneto walk into a bar, ask him a question, he tells them to f off, they leave.
