I'm very disappointed in the Coyotes too. Its like they didn't show up. They had no heart. Nothing. Bryzgalov(sp?) the goalie was terrible. He was awesome all year round and then played like crap in this series. Almost every goal he gave up was a softie. What a sad end to a fine season. :(

Also are these playoffs crazy or what? Huge comebacks (Washington in game 4, San Jose in game 3) and just the feast and famine aspect of the games. Tampa Bay goes from scoring a wackload of goals in game 2 against Pittsburgh to barely getting any offence going in games 3 and 4. Buffalo and Philadelphia scored a plethora of goals in game 2 and then recently played a "soccerish" 1-0 game last night. Chicago sleeps through games 1-3 and then FINALLY wakes up and pummels Vancouver in game 4. Nashville plays tough close hockey for 2 periods last night and then just falls to pieces in the third period against Anaheim.

What gives??

Sabres continue to play worse and worse...we got away with some VERY sloppy play in Game 5, in Game 6, we payed for that sloppiness...

i'm terrified for Game 7.

Well, at least the Sabres showed up, gave it their best effort and played their hearts out in the biggest game of the season.

oh...wait...

So, how'd I do on Round 1?

Prediction: Caps over Rangers in 6
Reality: Caps over Rangers in 5
Consensus: Doing good so far (it won't last)

Prediction: Sabres over Flyers in 5
Reality: Flyers over Sabres in 7
Consensus: I'll fully admit that the 5 games thing was a homer pick, but I honestly thought we would win that series.

Prediction: Montreal over Boston in 7
Reality: Boston over Montreal in 7
Consensus: I'm gonna give myself a pat on the back for this one. I said it could go any way, and it did. Game 7 OT...

Prediction: Pittsburgh over Tampa in 4
Reality: Tampa over Pittsburgh in 7
Consensus: Complete egg-on-my face. Tampa's much better than I gave them credit for.

Prediction: Vancouver over Chicago in 5
Reality: Vancouver over Chicago in 7
Consensus: I think everyone discounted the Blackhawks in this series. I also think everyone is surprised it went to 7.

Prediction: San Jose over LA in 6
Reality: San Jose over LA in 6
Consensus: BOOYAH!

Prediction: Coyotes over Red Wings in 6
Reality: Red Wings over Coyotes in 4
Consensus: Another egg-facer. I'm blown away that Phoenix didn't even show up.

Prediction: Anaheim over Nashville in 7
Reality: Nashville over Anaheim in 6
Consensus: eh...whatcha gonna do?

Round 2:
Washington over Tampa in 5 - I just think that after scraping and scrapping, Tampa's gonna be tired and Washington is well-rested
Philadelphia over Boston in 6 - The Flyers seemed to get better with each game. Granted, so did the Bruins, but I'm going with Pronger having a more notable impact now

Vancouver over Nashville in 6 - Now that Vancouver has the Blackhawk bugaboo out of the way, I expect them to re-focus.
San Jose over Detroit in 7 - I'd honestly predict San Jose to win it sooner, but Detroit will give it a go.

It would be nice if we actually got some goals in future games. If I want to watch 0-0 games, I'll watch soccer.

^ I want goals!!!

Nothing beats an end to end 5-4 or 7-6 hockey game with huge momentum swings. Like some of the Tampa Bay/Boston games. That's hockey to me.
