^ might be that he doesn't have all the fur. From all these images: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&biw= ... =&aql=&oq=

that seems to be the case. The plastic changed what we knew about Sully somewhat.

well according to this pic info here, Sully isn't all hard plastic, he is actually soft material in some places.

Mine arrived today! Yay!

First thought: It's Showa Gamera!

Second thought: The arms on this are awkward to pose.....oh wait, that's *because* it's Showa Gamera!

Really like the flame accessory. About to try out the spinning flames. If you don't like the previous Revoltech kaiju because of the visible joints, this is probably a pass for you. He's not the worst of the line in that respect. The ankle joint definitely isn't as bad in person.

Ultra Act Ultraman, Revoltech Heisei Gamera, Show Gamera, U.S. Bandai original Godzilla, and gashapon Red Baron.

The joints do look better in your photo then they did in the publicity pics...still, these don't hold a candle to the Ultra Act kaiju which are probably the best figure representations of those kaiju...the Gomora and Eleking are splendid

Tried out the spinning flames. It's decent. On the back of the package they show how you can have the tip of the tail plugged in instead of the whole tail, but that's the only spot where you can hook it up to the included display stand. It may be a nice touch, but it's kinda moot too unless you want him grounded.

You don't transform the head, you remove it at the neck and then plug it into the revoltech hole inside. Problem is that it's a heck of a time trying to get the revoltech joint inside to peg. You're best off just removing the joint and placing the head/neck inside. You'd probably avoid any paint rubbing by doing it that way too. There's a piece you have to plug into where the neck was, which has a hole in it so you can see the tip of his snout inside his shell. Another nice touch, but it's so small that it's not that noticeable either.

Unlike the smaller Heisei Gamera, he's generally the same size as the rest of the Toho Revoltech kaiju. Interesting, unlike the smaller Heisei version the elbows aren't revoltech joints.

I still might pick these up...it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would...hmm...that'd be cool if they did some more showa Gamera kaiju too..I'm thinking mainly a Space Gyaos, Barugon, and a Guiron :D

Really enjoying my Show Gamera. He's replaced the Heisei Gamera I had in one of my dvd shelf displays. I still like the Heisei, but there's something about having a display full of Showa designs that really tickles my fancy.
