It got me on board in a way Animated didn't, though at the same time the characters are incredibly less impressive than Animated. It's still shaping up to be a cool show, can't wait for the remaining eps in February. Also, Welker's new Megatron voice works great.

I actually thought Transformers Animated was pretty good overall. Good stories for the most part as I recall, and the look of the show grew on me (though it would have been nice if the style had been closer to the classic Transformers look).

The Transformers Prime mini-series seemed pretty good (easily better than the live action movies). I wish the TP's designs were less movie-fied - giving Optimus a mouth still looks weird. (the show seems to use a combine the look from TA and the movies)

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about the show's designs, with the exception of Ratchet and Megatron.

It was incredibly engaging. I was quite shocked as to how well done it was. The movie influences weren't so much of a bother, sans Bubblebee being unable to speak. Perhaps I'm not too upset with Optimus having a mouth since I was always a Beast Wars fan and Primal had one himself. Plus, Beast Wars is exactly what this mini-series felt like: Well written, with great characters, exciting battles and fun animation.
Also, The Arcee/Jack dynamic is so much more compelling than the Bubblebee/Sam story of the movies. It shouldn't be anything as ridiculous as a full fledged romance, but the tension between the two characters is more interesting than LaBeouf and his "pet robot" subplot. I'm glad the writers are able to walk that line so perfectly.
Can't wait for February.

My only problem with the characters thus far is that Prime and Bumblebee are pretty much carry overs from the movie. It's Cullen delivering the same old lines in the same way he has in the films, the film video games, and the War for Cybertron game. It's especially sad since Animated's Prime was so distinctive. The only real stand out Autobot is Arcee, and while I love Ratchet that may be because of Jeffrey Combs doing the voice.

The thing I did appreciate was just how mature they were trying to be with the story. My only hope is that we'll get to meet the two other decepticons supposedly slated for the series, and that the series won't focus too heavily on Dark Energon.

Also, the last shot of Megatron in Episode 5 sums up how awesome this miniseries was. That being Megatron reaching out to touch his undead army via spacebridge almost mimicking Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel painting. l

The last episode, Predatory, was amazing. This series continues to get better and better. It's good to see after the crap that was the Unicron Trilogy and since Animated we've been getting quality TF shows.

Oh, and for the two people who might be interested
Brian Tyler posted some bits from the Transformers Prime soundtrack to check out http://www.briantyler.com/Site/Transformers_Prime.html

I have to say this, hands down, has the best music out of any TF show ever.

I agree, the soundtrack pretty much is the best from any transformers show but i would be lying if i said i don`t listisn to G1 music more. Its just so darn jazzy and upbeat. I love it

Like this little gem of a tune that really just never gets old.

[quote="kidnicky"]I gotta agree with Kain here,it's a boring show with cheap animation. It looks like you're playing a game based on the Muppets for PS1.
And I can't believe someone could even discuss the “best TF soundtrackâ€
