ULTRA Q... in COLOUR!

Postby StevenScrivello » Thu Apr 14, 2011 12:07 pm

Tsuburaya, via their official YouTube channel, have uploaded a teaser for the recent 45th anniversary COLOURISATION of the original Ultra series, ULTRA Q!

This. Looks. Amazing.

It looks so natural, not incredibly vibrant (thus fake looking) like other colourisations. Very subtle.

I am excited.

I know there's practically no chance, but I hope to Hell the DVD/Blu-Ray sets have English subititles.

Hey, I can dream can't I?

Holy crap. I'd love for english subtitles, but subtitles or not, if money allows, I'm picking up these blu-rays.

I'd LOVE to get this. The colorization looks quite good. However, given no subtitles..it probably wouldn't be worth the high price tag(I'm hearing the 400 dollar range) as I already have copies of all the episodes in this series.

what the hell are you talking about

palette of the time ?

Ultra Q was shot in 1965/66 color television or films were very colorfull at the time not dull like this ...i found that very disapointing ....it looks like old colorised lobby cards or a 2-strippes technicolor of 1932 likr MYSTERY IN THE WAX MUSEUM.

WAY WAY below what was done by DYSNEY in 1992 for the classic ZORRO s series.
Just look at the shows that was done in those days...Ultraman, SPACE GIANTS, JOHNNY SOKKO, CAPTAIN ULTRA, they certainly didn t look like that...

HOWERVER ....colorising ULTRA Q is nevertherless a good idea, maybe it
will give the show new life and be discovered by a new generation
or finaly be subtitled by some fansites....that would be great for Ultra Q is certainlyone of the greatest sci-fi shows ever.
