In fact, while I'm on the subject, I would like to see Legendary, after the mega-blockbuster hit that will be Godzilla 2012, do a remake of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. Imagine, for a moment, a high-tech, fully-budgeted version of the three-headed nemesis, towering over Godzilla, generating gale-force winds, gravity beams destroying everything for miles around.
I would scale back Godzilla's lower body somewhat, not giving him a dinosaur look, but more proportioned. King Ghidorah would live up to his name: he would be terrible and horrifying. Between the winds generated by his massive wings, the electricity-induced destruction of the gravity beams, and his almost gleeful rampage, Godzilla would be the anti-hero everyone would want to see. After King Ghidorah, Godzilla would get an ovation upon surfacing from the ocean.
And then, they fight. It would be a sprawling, knock-down, drag-out battle, covering several square miles, defying containment or even description.
“Godzilla is a force. He is not something that can be stopped by human weapons. He is brutal and severe. My Godzilla will be the cruelest and fiercest in the history of the series.â€
