It's a solid movie but it could have been so much more! Slightly more focus on the destruction of major cities is something I would've been totally content with.

This film is the definition of a mixed bag. The Tokyo rampage and Mount Fuji fight are series highlights, but everything holding them together is so boring. It takes forever to find the Killaak base, then we have to watch two different bases be stormed, and then after the climactic fight there is this Fire Dragon bullshit.
Also, Rodan is so inarticulate in this film, I wish they would have used the suit more. Most of the time he's just a stiff, small prop. Love the Godzilla suit though.
