G-Fest is G-Fest. Either you love it or hate it. Go once and never return, or come back every single summer for it. Yes ... Their are problems. Yes it is basically the same show every year. Yes certain aspects of it should be developed further/improved/built upon. But, I still say complaining about the Pickwick and film prints and whats gonna play on the inhouse channel (I have enough material to stock the inhouse channel for the next ten years, but my help isn't wanted) why can't anyone embrace the more exciting parts of the convention??? WTF MAN dont you guys have friends there?? How about actually GETTING INVOLVED and volunteering to do a panel discussion?? Or learning about something you didn't know?? G-Fest isn't just a dealers room and the Pickwick Theater. And thats' what some of you guys are making it for yourselves. Bring a dvd player to your room and watch a Godzilla movie if that's all you want to do that weekend. Damn I just dont understand how alot of you guys come all the way to Chicago to watch movies and DO NOTHING ELSE. Want changes at the cvonvention?? Step up. Step up tp the plate then. Do something except whine. Ridiculous man.

I run my own booth in the artist's alley, and my friends and I tool about in the dealer's room, hang out with a bunch of friends I never get to see otherwise, , get pizza at Gino's East, meet (and sometimes hang out with) the guests, and a number of other things, so yeah, you're right - it's not just about the movies. As disappointed with the movies as I was last year, I still had a total blast.

But it's a convention dedicated to a film genre, thus I see no reason why we shouldn't complain about the quality of the screenings.

He has contributed maquette sculpts and miniature work for numerous modern-day Godzilla and Gamera films. Mr. Sagae is quite famous for sculpting likenesses of actors and actresses, and most recently sculpted Batman for Kaiyodoâ€™s Sci-Fi Revoltech line.

LOL... I don't understand why they wait so long to announce the movies. There's two months left! Not that big of a deal with me this year, as I'm not going to be able to watch the movies since I'm taking my son(too young to watch movies that late!).. so I'll be in-house channel movie only this year!

Really, I think the only autograph I'm getting this year will be from Watanabe. Great guest lineup though... I'm more of getting autographs from the actors etc. more than the fx people etc.
