Sometimes it's good to put things in perspective. This year the oldest Bandai Ultraman figures turn 28 years old. That's over a quarter of a century. The Marusan Godzilla/Ultraman toys and the bulk of the Bullmark figures reached the same age around 1994-2000, right when these toys were coming into their own and really being celebrated in this country.

If all of these toys were being touted as vintage then, what's to stop Bandai's oldest toys from being called vintage now?

IMHO an original 1983 Bandai figure like Red King is truly a vintage toy. Here it is with a practically mint tag and in surprisingly good condition. All this for $35. When you consider you're not getting Bandai's Godzilla toys from this period in such great condition with tags (attached or not)for a price like that it's practically a steal.

Sheesh. Did you get it from the same seller on eBay? Consider me jealous. :D
I 100% agree with you too. The original '83 Bandais are vintage figures now.

Isn't the name of the figure on the bottom part of the tag? Is there anything on the top part of the tag that identifies which figure it's from? If not, what would stop me from taking the bottom part of a tag off and putting that tag onto a Ghidorah? I would have to think that if it existed, someone would have more solid proof of it and there would be at least a few more out there.

Alright, enough of this Ultraman crap...time to restore some sanity on here :P

I recently went shopping around Tokyo, and it was one of the best outings I’ve had in a *long* time (since about a year ago when I found Marmit MH Large Biollante, Biollante Rose, and Destroyer figures). My booty consists of the following:

*FINALLY* found this guy! :calvin: He was one of the figures I saw on the same day I found Marmit MH Large Biollante, Biollante Rose, and Destroyer last year, which drained my wallet, so I couldn’t get him. One of the ugliest G suits ever gets one of the most beautiful figures...talk about irony. Anyways, I love this figure...*far* superior to the Bandai 6 inch one....really captures the look and spirit. This one appears to be a much darker version as opposed to the typical lighter colored matte version I always see pictures of online...does anyone else have this color variation? It’s similar to the standard color scheme of the G71 I bought a few months ago. I think I prefer this darker scheme....*really* looks great in person. It appears that my ragtag “G Memorialâ€
