Special effects have improved greatly since ABC's failed Dinotopia series...but then again, American genre television really skips out on the fantasy spectacle and giant monsters for the most part.

And I would be very surprised (pleasantly so) if Terra Nova reached the same kind of insane action and ample monster-filled screen time of Primeval or an entry in the Ultraman franchise.

Doubt it though, but if Speilberg is behind it, there's hope.
