You're right. The GMK score sounded more like it was made for a secret agent movie than a monster movie. It was one of the worst scores ever with that annoying synthesizer sound.

Don't really get the GMK score hate either. So it had electronics behind it and was one of Otani's more experimental scores. Big deal, it was appropriate, the theme was great and it was one of the fresher sounds the series had received in awhile. Not sure why electronic music is hated so much around these parts. I'll take it over Oshima's redundancy.
