Based on what I've seen of Monsters and the short Factory Farmed, we can expect to get a lot of hand-held/shaky camera work.

Not really a bad thing, but I hope they don't go Cloverfield and overdo it with the shakiness.

I also hope that it doesn't echo Cloverfield and so many recent horror films and attempt to appeal to a teenage demographic.

YES! I am sooo happy that they didn't choose Leterrier! I would not stand another shallow, packed with badass effects and poor story development 3D blockbuster!

I haven't seen 'Monsters' yet, but i've read a bit about Edwards and I strongly believe that he will be able to find that balance between human and monster story. After watching his newly-made short film I'm totally in love with the way he handles his productions. Cold and haunting!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Legendary and their next decisions! Still can't wait to find out what beasts will be chosen for Godzilla to face and who will be responsible for the score!

KING KONG was terrible because Peter Jackson was such a fan of the original film, but thats a discussion for another thread.
