The stark black-and-white scheme reminds me of Sin City. Also, Godzilla looks excellent.

Yeah, I figured it would be color. I still am not a fan of such ridiculously high-contrast art in comics. I mean, I don't HATE it and I'm still going to give the comic a chance but I guess I just kind of can't help wishing a comic about my favorite character would be done in an art style I like better. Selfish, I know, but I can't help that! :lol:

For reference, my favorite comic artists are Inio Asano...

... who uses a TON of gray values in his work, and Jeff Smith...

... who uses a much more high-contrast style but not one that's as ZOMGINTENSE as the one they're using for Monster World and one that doesn't lose as much detail. The former my personal preference - I love seeing a very wide range of values in black and white work, especially in comics. Just my taste. Can't help it!
