I agree with you for the most part, MFW, don't get me wrong. It is a small thing to criticize when looking at the big picture, so that's why I put it aside to just see the movie for what it was. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Very much so. Do I like those moments of the movie? No. I can deal with that though.
Loki was the best villain by far for any of these Marvel films. He never overstepped into the ridiculous and always oozed cunning and deceitfulness. They also did a great job of making him seem a trickster, as he is supposed to be. He'll be a great addition to The Avengers story, even if he's not the main villain (I expect there to be more than one).
