Yeah, I received the DVD. But I probably won't even watch it until I can find a subbed boot.

Jesus CHRIST.

That was one of the single best Ultra Series entries in the past five years. Seriously. My opinion, blah, blah - better than all of Mebius, better than Mebius and Ultra Brothers, better than Ultra Galaxy Legends, and *just* below Super 8 Ultra Brothers. For me. Your mileage may vary (just ask PlanetXLeader!).

This is what the Ultra Galaxy series should have been. Zero VS Darklops Zero reuses the basic "deserted wasteland planet" concept yet films its battles far more creatively than the series ever did. The series had fun choreography, granted, but its cinematography was largely bland and uninteresting. Not so here! Here we have great lighting, interesting angles, and creative camerawork! THANK YOU, TSUBURAYA. If the Zero series is this good throughout then I'll give you my soul. I mean you can just take it. Honest.

"OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!".

Oh, and it was wonderful to see practical sets return. Not only that, but filmed in some of the most interesting ways since Ultraman Max. I love you, TPC. I really do.

Just got done watching it as well. I liked it overall; it was very slick stylistically (including one sequence that is very reminiscent of "24,"), the battles are exciting and the story seems interesting.

I found it entertaining, but I was surprised to see Jared so enamored over it. Perhaps my perspective is different (I haven't seen any of the other apparently inferior gaidens). To say it's "one of the single best Ultra Series entries in the past five years" is a stretch, I think. Was it good and would I recommend it, though? Absolutely.

Frankly, I'm way more excited for the movie (though the preview for Stage II got me jazzed—it looks really intense).

OK, I gave in and watched it. Very good, as I figured it would be. I just don't get the point of that 8 minute Ultraman Zero episode where Darklops Zero is introduced because it has NOTHING to do with this, I guess the staff had some extra cash sitting around and felt like wasting a few hours filming something since it was pretty much ignored from the Ultra universe (and thankfully so, that rock monster was horrendous).

Bring on Stage II!

OH GOD. THIS MOVIE. THIS MOVIE

I need to see this so badly it hurts. This could possibly surpass THE NEXT as my favorite Ultra film of all time!

Also, and I have to say I love it. Probably not what does it for most of the folks around here but I've got it on repeat lately. XD

Funny, I seem to like every other Ultra film theme. I loved THE NEXT's "NEVER GOODBYE," Super 8's "LIGHT IN YOUR HEART," and now "~Destiny's star~" but Mebius' "MIRAI," and Ultra Galaxy's "Hoshi no Youni" did very, very little for me.
