Asylum's "2010: MOBY DICK" !!

The Asylum's latest giant monster flick is as you can tell by the titling a take on the classic story but this is not your dad's old 'Moby Dick'!! This is a modernization of the story with a much more massive and violent beast!! Check "Undead Backbrain" for the first look at the poster/dvd art and the first batch pics:

Watch out 'Mega Shark' !! I can't wait to see those two rumble!!

Giant prehistoric killer whales are always awesome, and I've always considered the original Moby Dick to be a borderline giant monster / kaiju tale, so strangely enough, and perhaps for the first time ever, I'm kind of excited for this film...even if I deliberately stay away from as many Syfy Originals / Asylum productions as possible.

However, doesn't the plot sound a bit too much like the episode The Ghost of Moby Dick from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea?

I think their movies would be a lot more enjoyable if they made their sets out of cardboard and the monsters out of socks.
I'm not kidding.
