GINO had the right idea by getting the origin out of the way during the opening credits, just like The Incredible Hulk did a decade later. The problem with GINO's presentation of the monster's origin was that it involved iguanas, and Godzilla isn't an iguana.

The way would do it is to repeat Godzilla 1985 (American Verison) opening. You see a volcano and lava.



Or........I would have the opening showing footage of war WW1, WW2, Korean War, Nuclear Bombs, 9-11, and terrorsit groups as a hint. God's tool for decrestuion ...Godzilla.
