Yay, its the sequel we all wanted.... right?
*ahem* I don't really care about the Scream movies. I liked them when they came out and I was in 7th grade, but as an adult, they just don't hold up well for me, not even on a nostalgic level. And the pretentious nature of the films just grates me these days ("Oh, she complains about people running up the stairs in slasher films THEN SHE RUNS UP THE STAIRS! HOW CLEVER") Not only that, but Wes Craven hasn't made a good movie since Serpent and the Rainbow... that was 1988. So I doubt the fourth entry in a sub par series is going to change that. Add to that the fact that they were rewriting the script while it was still shooting and it pretty much spells out disaster.
Anyway, Wes Craven is releasing the fourth film next year. I'll probably check it out only because it was filmed literally only miles away from me and I saw some of the exteriors and stuff while driving around.
Given the stupid nature of the twist endings these movies have, I'm placing my bets on the killer being one of the lead characters of the series or a returning supporting character.
