Without reading all the articles again, wasn't the no connection to Cloverfield relating to Super 8 not being a sequel or prequel?

If the idea is correct Super 8 is effectively a seperate movie like Mothra or Frankenstein Vs. Baragon but it takes place within the same "world" as Cloverfield (in M's or FvB's case, the showa Godzilla movies).

...why dose Abrams have to be such a...douche and "refuse to reveal any plot details"???

i'm not particularly amped about this, i don't quite have the energy to keep up with Abrams' ridiculously overly convoluted reasonings, especially when his payoffs have never been as great as I'd hoped for...

i'll keep a tentative eye on it, but it's not the "must see" that Godzilla 2012 and Batman 3 will be...

btw, 2011 looks like garbage for movies...unless i'm overlooking something...
