^^I'm sure the theme will not lose sight of the "nature strikes back" angle if Hedorah is used. Godzilla's conflicts with man will not be forgotten or downplayed, I'm sure. The point is your argument does not have to be confined to Godzilla alone (and should not). The appeal of Godzilla overcoming every thing that is thrown at him, man and monster alike, is THE appeal the public wants to see. The one thing the filmmakers have to avoid however is the "been there, done that" syndrome that both scenarios can present.

What I don't want to see is a pathetic military response. If Godzilla comes ashore on US soil, the national guard, army, air force would join in coordination on land. And before he hits, Navy and Air force with probably aid from army artillery.
