While I won't respond to those who are attacking me personally, as far as me being "not right", I have no mental issues. It's just that in the kaiju genre, no one seems to give a damn about fighting piracy. Do you think it's right to pay $70 for a bootleg of Godzilla vs. Biollante? And before you say "That's the fault of the buyer", it's the thieving seller on Ebay that allowed the auction to go that high to begin with. If you must aquired films and TV shows illegally, don't do it in a way that supports pirates. I recently got an online DVD seller to completely replace their entire catalog from import bootlegs to legitimate releases, and I got a lot of support and praise. I'm doing this in defense of my hobby.

eBay auctions are their own animal...hell if i want to auction off nail clippings and some poor schmo wants to pay me $400 for them...then my only problem is to figure out what I want to spend my $400 on...

if you're on eBay, you're already on the internet, not that hard to do a little bit of research before putting in a bid

and i wonder exactly how people are supposed to get movies illegally without supporting piracy??? (and don't say torrents because (A) that still supports piracy and (B) try looking up the movies that MFW listed on a torrent site... P.S. - if you can find prophecies of nostradamus, goke, or half-human let me know where  )

Wow, has this thread completely disintegrated into a whole bunch of wasted bits and bytes.

I'll look into starting a new thread when there is more actual G-FEST information to post instead of burying it in this ridiculously off-topic discussion about the Bootlegs.

I wouldn't say the bootleg discussion is completely unrelated...in essence, we have learned that Gfest attendees should plan on the cops showing up and there being a party-pooper in attendance who will be the one inviting the cops

see? it's related
