You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

I just finished watching The Mothman Prophecies again...for my money, one of the creepiest movies ever, gets under my skin in ways that 99% of traditional "horror" movies can't. But along with that creepiness that makes me want to turn the lights on, the movie just has an overwhelming sadness to it.

The last 20 minutes of the old Spencer Tracy flick Captains Courageous made me a wreck.

Um...so I didn't like the movie all that much and my religous beliefs are hit and miss....but I found the ending of The Passion to be pretty sad. Not trying to start a debate. Whether you think it's real or not...film wise I think it got my water works going.

That being said...I think the movie kind of missed the point...it's essentially a spin-off of the Saw franchise at a certain point...would have much rather watched a movie about JC's good deeds then an entire film of him getting tortured.

So, the Toy Story 3 scene...I only felt really emotional during it because I'd heard from so many people how the movie's ending was SO SAD...that when I saw that I was like "No way...No way. No way. NOWAYNOWAYNOWAYNOWAYNOWAY!!!!" And then the actual ending we got was freaking HAPPY...I hate how people think that just because something made them cry it was sad.

One that I haven't seen mentioned yet is Forrest Gump...there's a certain part that gets me EVERY TIME:
When he first finds out he has a son, and he asks, "but is he smart or is he...?"
and then Jenny tells him he's very smart and the look of relief on his face...DAM...it hurts to think about. Gump leads a life that any human being on this planet would LOVE to have lived...he's seen it all and done it all, but at the end of the day, all he cares about is Jenny and he has always thought that if he was smarter, he could have gotten to be with her and that's all he wants for his son, to be smart. motherf...

Also, The Green Mile.
I remember my parents rented it, and I had NO interest. It was a long movie, the previews made it look sappy and stupid, and I had no idea it was a Stephen King story (hey it was 1999, I was 14, I had JUST gotten the internet, I had um...other things I was more concerned with).
I sat down with them to start watching it, thinking I'd get bored with it after half an hour or so and just call it quits.
I was glued to the screen and at the end, I was in tears.

Also, Marley and Me.
I have had dogs my whole life. I've been lucky enough to never have to put one down. I cried like a baby.

The Color Purple, where Mister kicks Celie's sister Nettie out of the house.

Because it's still in theaters and some of you may not have seen it yet,
The climax of the chapel scene at the end of Skyfall.....at least comparitively speaking for a 007 movie, probably the most wreaking of emotion since the final scene of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
