The Last Airbender-man what a OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE! of a movie!!!! What made it worse is that we (my friends and I) took the chance with 3D and it made it worse and a waste of money. Almost the entire movie was in 2D, it was terrible. The worst part of this movie was the bad acting and the INCREDIBLE inaccuracy. I mean, if your like me and is a fan of the series, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! I honestly hope that this film does not have any sequels and if Hollywood (as it appears thats all they know how to do at the moment) would remake this film, then continue with sequels, because this was just :puke:

Hot Shots!-I love this movie, its hilarious!

Continuing to inundate myself with kaiju, which I can't seem to get enough of lately.

Return of Daimajin. While the story is more or less a reheat of the original, this is still terrific entertainment. Some more excellent effects work here, my favorite bit being Majin's spectacular reveal, with the destruction of the island and the splitting/crossing of the lake. Beautiful stuff. More wonderful music by Ifukube, a great performance by Riki Hashimoto as Majin, and one of my favorite villain deaths in the history of cinema (though I could also say that about the first film).

Wrath of Daimajin. The weakest of the three for me, but very enjoyable nonetheless. The kids, around whom the main narrative centers, aren't nearly as obnoxious as they could be, and while the story is basically the same as the others, the focus on the boys' journey puts an interesting spin on the formula. Also working in the film's favor are some nice effects, a great score, and a staggering amount of gorgeous location shots. The scenery is nothing short of beautiful.

Rodan. A true classic of the genre, and one of my favorites to watch. Not really a whole lot I can say about it that hasn't been said already.

Half Human (original cut). Since I'm not fluent in Japanese, I can only loosely follow the story, but I've watched this several times now and still find it quite enjoyable. While not quite as epic in scale as most other Toho monster films, there's still a lot to appreciate as far as the effects work is concerned. For instancer, the suit for the adult snowman is quite good, and Nakajima delivers a great performance. By far my favorite moment in the film is when the snowman, carrying an animal carcass across his shoulders, comes across Akira Takarada's character hanging from a cliff by a rope. He puts the animal down, pulls Takarada up, and unties him. The two share a brief moment of eye contact, and then the creature (very nonchalantly) picks his quarry back up and continues on his way. It's a surprising and amusing scene that really strikes a chord with me.

Destroy All Monsters (AIP dub). Watching/hearing Titra's dub for this, even a subpar VHS copy, does wonders for the film. No matter how many times I watch it, it always blows my mind how much better it is than the awful Frontier version that's been released to video and DVD here.

Also, a thought has always occured to me during the shootout between the Kilaaks and the police/agents/whoever those dudes are, when the good guys chase the bad guys behind a hill/rock outcrop next to the ocean. I always thought it would be great if they came running out from behind it a few seconds later being chased by Godzilla. But maybe that's just me.

Rodan-It was my first time in a long time watching the Original Japanese Version, so it was like watching it for the first time. I loved it! The score is magnificent and the acting was incredible, and, and, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! :D
