Why would he? He has a convention to host. I seriously can not stand this interfandom drama. I have been around since the the 80's and since then seeing G-fans squable amongst themselves just makes me grind my teeth.

I met ONE genuine G-Fan in person in my lifetime (in my youth, not anymore) and I seriously was blessed to have someone I can talk about this stuff too. I am still shocked to be talking to major western contributors to G-Fandom and hearing they have beef with eachother. It drives me nuts. People who have done wonders for American fans but refuse to go to G-Fest due to "falling outs" thus killing any chance of my shaking their hands and thanking them for their contributions.

Seriously, Brett hunted down James Wong to write something for Mr. Takarada, J.D. puts out an amazing, one of a kind magazine, ect so unless this is personal...I am so sick about hearing about this stuff.

Armand stated his reason and I can understand his position, but for everyone else....I don't know, it is none of my business but wow...

I have had MANY pleasant correspondences with J.D. for almost 20 years and I can not see him as the jerk everyone makes him out to be.

I'm not defending anyone, I am just sick of the fighting. The last thing I want to do with my first G-Fest experience, which, including my family, has cost me well over $1,000, is the Goon Squad screaming at Brett's hotel room door and saying he ruined Godzilla or whatever.....Man.

As much drama as there seems to be going on, I'm so far removed from any of those people for it to affect me.

Maybe it's because I don't have any friends at the con, which may be a sad thing. Meh, I'm still stoked as hell for this. Can't wait to have an awesome weekend of movies, toys, and panels. Oh, and sweating to death inside my Ebirah costume. Good times ahead! :D
