I've watched the DVD several times and I like it more each time. Each time you notice more subtleties in the characters and direction. Its one of my favorite horror flicks of the decade. Kitamura ditched his knack for humor and tongue in cheek cheesiness and he delivered a moody and elegantly done horror movie (his best film ever, IMO). He captures the tone of Clive Barker perfectly. This film is definitely the mark of a film maker maturing in a big way.
Slightly off topic, but I still long the day to see Clive Barker's Godzilla script
