And I think there is confusion with preference. If one prefers the original versions then that is wonderful. Getting the new toys is fine and dandy. However, the fact remains that the dubs played a very important part in expanding this genre. Just because some didn’t like the dubs or didn’t grow up with them does not make that analogy a false one in general. Heck, we wouldn’t have this spirited debate on this very board if it weren’t for the dubs!
My argument hasn’t been for you guys to like the dubs, but rather showing some respect, because whether one liked them or not (and many still do), they did indeed put everything on the map here in the U.S. That is not a subjective argument, but rather a factual one!
