So they couldn't even reconstruct the US version, like Classic Media has done? I'm sorry if I sound brutally honest, but that's pathetic.

I suppose Destroy all Planets won't have its dub included either, right?

Again, I can't answer any of those questions because they do not pertain to the Special Features I am overseeing/producing. Again, I suggest signing up for the Shout! Factory message board and voice your opinions and suggestions (be nice, of course).

BTW, I was reading subtitles when I was a kid... I wanted to see Japanese films that bad, and that didn't keep me away. It also didn't keep my cousins and nephews away when I showed them a lot of these films and television shows... Learning to read dubs makes you smarter, and after a while, you don't notice reading them at all.

I could understand wanting the Japanese versions, but remember guys, we are all here in the first place because of the dubs! I never saw subtitled features in "The Million Dollar Movie", "Chiller Theater" "The 3:30 Movie", etc. It is a good bet we all became Gamera and Godzilla fans because of the dubs. Let's show a little respect. And we will see what will happen in the later Gamera releases.

We can debate this all we want, but if Shout! Factory can't secure the elements that have to pass the standards to be included we can't blame them, but rather those who came before them who did not preserve their work (i.e. Daiei, AIP and Sandy Frank Entertainment).
