Well we can all be sure that whatever the design is, it won't look like a CGI man in suit....that just wouldn't justify making this film.
What I expect is a modern interpretation of the original Godzilla. As Mouth said, he won't be a tail dragger, so we'll have to accept some changes as such.
They have to appeal to a mass audience, HOWEVER we can expect that they won't go GINO again. That was an attempt at "realistic." Realistic I can expect for Autobots, simply because they would have looked like Skooby Doo if they looked like their G-1 forms in a live action movie...This is not Roger Rabbit.
So expect a Godzilla that has all the sensabilites of the original design tweaked enough to draw in new fans as well as satisfy hardcore fans as much as possible. I mean how many Godzilla designs has Toho given us over the years.
The key is to make Godzilla a character that has emotion and meaning. Not just Clover who is there to cause problems....Godzilla is an "actor" so to speak and needs to be treated as such, otherwise like GINO and Clover, he will be another "monster" in a movie.
He needs to be confused, menacing, angry, and maybe even empathized with...then you have a winner.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!
