Saw this tonight on Blu-Ray and thought it was a good movie. The effects are brilliant.

Couldn't make it through this. But then again, even as a kid I never responded to it. But I do admit that a lot of people consider it a classic.

Excellent movie, but I too felt something was amiss during the ending. I'm not sure what though. Maybe some words between Max and Carol to tighten up their friendship? I don't know. I would also have enjoyed a little more between Max and his family at the end. But overall, I found it to be VERY well made!
