Everyone,
We can't account for Daiei's poor original English translation. The original intent of the filmmakers is "Guillon", and that is the proper transliteration. "Gojira" or "Godzilla"? "Angilas" or "Anguirus"? YOG, MONSTER FROM SPACE or SPACE AMOEBA? (Rhetorical questions.) A rose by any other name... Let's not lose site of the big picture here, and that is the original GAMERA films are being released on DVD in the US, in big beautiful transfers, right?

As far as I know, we're still scheduled for mid-July for BARUGON -- I'm submitting the materials for the corresponding booklet tonight. I'll update everyone with the official information as we are able to release it to you folks -- unfiltered and straight from the source!

:eek: BUSTED! LOL! I had just finished typing one of the taglines for the 1970s AIP horror flick, BLACULA, one of which I found was "His Bite Was Outta Site!", and I wondered if that was a typo or a mistake on the part of AIP (I found a poster which had the correct spelling), so I guess that Malmuwalde mispelling was stuck in me head! :D

I'm sure the Blacula one as intentional.

I had to correct a nice, young Japanese gal over the improper use of a word. She had an online photo album that had the title, "Our Day At The Swap Meat" (or something like that).

Anyway, when I explained the differences and how someone might get the, ah, wrong idea, she went into hysterics.
