This just popped up on the G-Fan site announcing the new venue.


New G-FEST XVII venue announcement
G-FEST XVII will be held at the Rosemont Hotel at O’Hare, 5550 North River Road, Rosemont, IL, right across the street from the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center. In fact, the two are connected by an enclosed walkway. The location is just down the street from last year’s venue, the Crowne Plaza.

The Rosemont is a beautiful hotel with many amenities, but it has slightly fewer rooms than the Crowne Plaza, so attendees are advised to book their rooms early to avoid disappointment. You may call the hotel directly at (847) 678-4488 and ask for the G-FEST rate ($96.00: single, double, triple or quad) or click here to book your reservation online.

The Rosemont Hotel is offering G-FEST attendees a special daily parking rate of only $4.00. Don’t delay, book your reservation today!

G-FEST double double bill returns!
The double double feature is coming back by popular demand! If you can’t get enough big screen kaiju action, G-FEST is once again sponsoring a one day mini film festival at the Pickwick Theater. Four movies (two double bills) will be shown on Thursday, July 8th, 2010, one pair in the afternoon and one pair in the evening (This is in addition to our regular Friday and Saturday night features). Films are expected to be confirmed and announced very shortly, stay tuned!

It all comes down to the films for me...I'm going to hold off until I find out one way or the other as to what films are being shown

Hotel is set, and G-Fest registration is set. Also have cash set aside for food/getting there and the like. Now all I have to do is find cash for the dealer's room.

Monster Zero
King Kong Escapes

Outside chance for Latitude Zero and possibly Ultra Galaxy Legends...which would be awesome.
