Hurt Locker

Picked this up today (with Simpsons) because people kept ranting and raving over this movie for the last week (which was the first time I even heard of it), and I have to say, it was a very good movie. It is not at the top of my list of movies released last year, but that does not mean it was bad at all. Nicely done, nicely paced, although I do think it was about 20 minutes longer than it needed to be, and the soundtrack was well done. Of course, I'm also not that big into military-esque movies, so it being really enjoyable is a much added bonus and it was interesting to see something different.

Its in the ol' Netflix queue. I should be getting it soon. One of the movies I've been waiting to watch before I finalize my top 10 of 09, along with Moon and Lovely Bones.

Saw a screener of it months ago. Not the best war movie ever, but it's right up there. I really enjoyed it, especially all of the suspense in the early half of the film.
