walshiam hit it on the nose... though this is even beyond the bleak world of those shows at times. I loved this movie and I'll watch it over and over, never tiring of Rockwell's brilliant performance. It's a shame this movie didn't get the awards attention it deserves.
I finally watched this movie for the second time...(i had a friend stop over and 'demanded' to see something good that he would never have heard of if i didn't show it to him)...
I cannot get over how good it was, simply because it was so neglected
Rockwell is phenomenal and it's a damn-shame he wasn't at least nominated for a major award
this is just a fantastic story of the human will and it presents some really cool science fiction ideas as well...
Jones' second film, Source Code has finished filming, btw and is currently being edited together for a 2011 release...
interestingly, it has nearly 15 times the budget of Moon.
Moon was great, and I'm definitely looking forward to Source Code. If I remember right, Source Code is a semi-sequel to Moon, right? As in, it takes place in the same world (I believe Rockwell returns for a cameo), but has a mostly unrelated plot.
I don't know if Source Code is supposed to be related AT ALL...I think it was MUTE that's confirmed to exist within the "Moon-iverse" which will be the 3rd film
