I recently picked up a Marmit vinyl paradise Magura from Ultraman. I heart this spikey thing! He was always a favorite Ultra kaiju!

So on my trip to Japan in October, i was excited to have a chance to shop for Godzilla merchandise! I found lots of cool things, but there was one item i was REALLY looking for and never found. The recent Marmit Cybot Godzilla figure. BUT, one of the stores I found said that, while sold out of the initial release, there was a show exclusive glow version coming in November... It just came in the mail today! YAY!

Oh, & i remember legion's review of the original release saying that the vinyl for this guy felt thinner & cheaper than usual. Not so with the glow version! This is the thickest, heaviest, & hardest vinyl I've ever had in a godzilla toy.

ahhhhhh yes a wonderful haul the past 2 days:

Marusan Blue King Ghidorah and blue/gold/red Pilot Ace Gigan (been looking for this one a while)

I love the pilot ace Gigan. It looks killer next to the Pilot Ace KG

And X-Plus Anguirus:

I LOVE this Anguirus! In fact, I like it so much that I was compelled to take a picture from afar as soon as I typed that statement. Here it is

a little blurry but my hand isn't steady.

Last but not least (and not pictured) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 arrived for $40 shipped.

I love that Angilas. Mine should be on it's way very soon, along with a coulple other things. Been a while since I've gotten so much Godzilla crap in one shot. I don't want to make a habit of it.

Found a Bandai 1992 Mothra Larva on Ebay
Even with S/H from Japan it was nice and cheap.
Great shape, no tag, who cares

And then as I posted on the other thread.

I decided that I liked some of the re painted Bandai figures and I was itchin for some new vinyl, so I picked up a few today at my local, friendly neighborhood toy show.

The 1993 Rodan is really nice. Its really different looking then the other 2 versions put out , the first 1998 version and the Memorial box version of course. I want to pick up the Space Godzilla re paint.

First the first time in what seems like forever I got a big box full of new toys in the mail including, of course, the X-Plus Angilas. Be warned, this is a very photo-heavy post. I also had to take some of these pictures on my bathroom counter as the entire set-up of my room has changed since I got my last G-toys. I can't wait to move all my crap into a bigger display room.

First (and least) is Marmit's mailaway '89 Godzilla, which is colored a lot like the mailaway '84 cybot figure. Except for the gold on the chest. I was hoping the eyes would have been painted better than the Superfest version but no such luck. I'm getting burnt out on these Marmits as I'm really starting to feel a lack of effort with them. They don't wow me like they used to. The upcoming '91 Godzilla looks especially sad.

I also still insist that they're going cheap on the vinyl quality. The head and especially the tail have a very loose fit and give the figure a cheap feeling. That feeling is accentuated after holding the M-1 figure I got today.

It's been well over a year since I've gotten a new M-1 figure. And like all M-1s this figure of the Tyrannosaurus from The Last Dinosaur was definitely worth the wait. These figure never fail to disappoint with their overall attention to quality. You really feel like you're getting your money's worth with a brand new M-1.

I love the paint job on this guy. Light metallic blue and cream over chocolate brown vinyl made this the standout of the two versions made of this figure. The detail on the eyes is great and really gives the toy personality. It's just a big Tyrannosaurus but there's no mistaking what character this is supposed to be. M-1 outdid themselves with this guy.

Also included is a figure of the Polar-Borer ship from the movie. It's a great little bonus with a spinning drill that has a nice metallic paint job. The set also came with an (unexpectedly sexy) autographed photo of the actress who played the cavegirl Hazel from the movie. I forgot to take a picture of that. In all, this set easily blows away everything I've gotten from Marmit this year.

Here's one figure I'm sure everyone was waiting to see more pictures of: X-Plus' incredible Angilas figure. Yes, X-Plus didn't sculpt the thing but they did do a good job painting and assembling it. In my opinion this figure easily blows the Marmit kit clear out of the water, which is pretty impressive considering just how good the Marmit was.
Image
Image
This thing looks exactly like Angilas himself walked out of the movie and took figural form. The paint job is incredibly subtle and realistic. i definitely prefer it to the Gorosaurus by a freakin' long shot, and I can't wait to see how Gigan and Godzilla look in person. I highly recommend this figure if you're able to find it and afford it. I haven't gotten a lot this year, but this figure is definitely my favorite. I just really wish these things were cheaper.

Great pictures as always Legion! I agree with the X-plus looking better than the Marmit and the Marmit is an excellent figure too!

Edit: I also wish they were cheaper! These are incredible figures and they are being released monthly! We can't take our time collecting them because they're sold-out before arriving at the stores! So we must be willing to pay $600 or more for them all out of the gate. Any news on the Gojira 68' pre-order?
