Sweet I think I have a good idea on what to spend my $50 Best Buy certificates on now. Probably going to get a $20 PSN card and a lap top carrying case for my new laptop that I got back in October.

I have a TV stand like except I only have two shelves rather than three.

My PS3 is standing vertical too. The thing is it only does it when it's in my room if I take it too a friends house or move it out to the living room it can normally stay quiet.

As for the loudness it's coming from the back of the system and near the top. I would trade it in but I don't have much money right now with the holidays plus those companies always rip you off I've seen the old 60GB going for upwards of $400 on eBay which is more than enough to get a Slim and a PS2.
