Gigan is far and away a better film than Kaiju Killer. Kaiju Killer could never hope to be as amazing as Gigan, the best Godzilla film ever made! I only wish that one day, I might make a Sorta episode to rival Godzilla Vs. Gigan.

Well, I've downloaded parts one through three and took them home to watch (Internet at home is not working. :( ) Gonna watch the rest tonight, and I'll post my full thoughts then. But as for right now, I'll just say I'm underwhelmed. The level of work that went into the suit making is impressive, but the writing, as said before, is what drags this thing down. So far, it feels like a very uninteresting tale about some undeveloped characters wandering around, with some cool bits here and there; kind of dug the fight with the huge axe - on a purely visceral level, and Gabara's first appearance kind of creeped me out (with the Ifukube dirge in the background and all) but at the same time confused me. What's Gabara doing there and why?

Anyway, more on everything after I finish watching it tonight.
