I understand that a lot of people out there like the style of kaiju toys we've gotten over the years, despite how static they often are. But we've had very little choice in the matter - the usual consensus is that you collect vinyl figures or nothing, and figures like the Microman suits or the Playmates Kong line just plain sucked.

Well Revoltech Expo is underway in one small corner of Tokyo's Akihabara district. And boy do we have some nice pics of those figures that we saw prototypes of a few weeks ago. In fact this time...surprise surpise....they're fully painted and in top form for this showing.

First up. Daimajin. Looks nice. Not a big fan but i'm thinking a few of you guys might like it.

Now for the BIG TWO! Gamera and Super Gyaos look awesome!!!
I thought they looked questionable unpainted, but now that they're fully painted.....they look awesome!!! The paint-ops look so movie accurate...that i wager that they look like they even trump all the past bandai vinyl and gasaphon figures from the past. :eek:

LOL. The bottom photo even shows off Gamera's fire blast attachment and even a small newborn gyaos accessory. After seeing pics of these i definitely have more confidence on Kaiyodo's ability to bring these kaiju movie monsters into action figure form.

Now if only they can get around to making Gamera 3 and Hyper Gyaos versions of the monsters. Would also love a GMK Godzilla action figure. Heh.... So what do you guys think? Are you all hyped up and thinking of buying these?

I love it! Amazing detail! I agree with you, they didn't look much non-painted, but painted, they look AMAZING!

Just a request, is it possible that their are pics of the Alien?
