I haven't even looked at Goji yet I'm tempted to but I just really don't feel like watching the movie right now. I really don't want to force myself to watch it.

I might just watch a few scences and see how bad it really looks.

As for Trick R Treat I think I'm just going to Redbox it this weekend I'm not patient enough to wait till Tuesday to see it.

Watched this tonight. I thought it was pretty good! No, its NOT as good as Creepshow and anyone who says it is is a stinkin liar! But it is a fun little flick undeserving of the crappy release that WB gave it.

The one story I actually DIDN'T care much for is the one with the kids and the bus... it just seemed to drag more than the others. That's the worst thing about these anthology movies is there's always one story that's less interesting and makes it plod along in parts (I think Creepshow is the only one where I love all the storis). My favorite is probably the werewolf segment and Sam's story. Although I wouldn't say its one of the best horror flicks of the decade (or even this year- I'd give that title to something like Drag Me To Hell, Thirst or District 9) its definitely a really entertaining little flick that anyone who has appreciation for "fun" horror along the lines of Creepshow, Tales from the Crypt and EC Comics should get a kick out of. No, its not scary, but its not really supposed to be either. I don't agree with the massive hype behind this one, but I'd still give it a full recommendation to anyone who likes more playful horror films. I could see myself watching this along with the original Halloween, Creepshow and a gaggle of Universal flicks on Halloween night.

Somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 (3.7?) out of 5. I'll probably buy it somewhere down the line. I'm gonna be picking up Drag Me To Hell on Tuesday, but I'm gonna try and get TrT some time before Halloween.

I got this last night on Blu-Ray at the local Blockbuster and plan on watching it tonight since last night/early this morning was devoted to Rock Band/GH.

I thought the movie was pretty decent, it could have been better but it wasn't one of the worst things.

I have a question though which I'll put in white text as to not spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it yet.

SPOILERS

At the beginning of the movie, how did the kid that plays in Bad Santa die? I didn't notice a razor blade in the candy bar and I know Dylan Baker's character's house had cyanide in it but I don't think that causes you to cough up blood.

END SPOILERS

My only complaints where that the film did to much flipping back and fourth I think they should have divided the stories up separtly then at the end of the movie combined them all together.

Also the werewolf aspect was an interesting take on transforming but they could have put more money into the actually werewolves.

I'm pretty sure the candy was poisoned. May have been the cyanide, but it was for sure tainted with SOMETHING.

Yeah I didn't mind the flipping back and forth at all. Although I think it would have been better if they could squeeze one more story in... it was a pretty short movie really. And I'm a little disappointed in unmasked Sam... with the mask on I think he's way groovy. I've got one of the movie posters set as my background right now.

On the boy with the candy:
At first I actually thought he was just throwing up chocolate and stomach contents, which would have been a vote for it being poison. I think the Principal had lots of different types of poison on the table... When the stuff was on the principal's shirt it didn't really look like blood to me at first... but then later it was pretty clearly blood. Maybe the blood came later, maybe he decapitated the boy off-screen (I don't think it's clear as to whether he did it or his son did it). He could have used some acid in there, which could have burned through his throat and stomach and resulted in throwing up blood AND chocolate. Or there may have been a blade we didn't see... the candy bar Sam cuts the old man/bus driver with is the same candy bar he swiped from the Principal's candy bowl, so evidently at least SOME of his candy had razor blades....

SPOILERS

Well, there were more than one kid victim I'm guessing...so who knows where the blood came from. We know there was more than one because we had the chubby kids head in the basement, while some other body was being buried in the back yard while still kickin' around...right?
