Unless mrbluehair wants to further clarify why he posted this ("I heard from an industry friend"; "I'm bored"; "I read it elsewhere"; "I'm guessing and the title of this thread is misleading"), I'm closing this thread. It serves no useful purpose.

A note to anyone else who finds that they want to post similar in the future: at least have the courtesy to say something about your source, if you have any. And choose your thread title carefully.

mrbluehair, if you have something substantial to add and answer, send me a PM and I'll reopen the thread so you can post it.

I realize that I have placed myself firmly in the line of fire. If I am proven wrong I will take my lumps. Given the temperature and sincerity of my source, I believe enough in what i stated to make myself flame bait. I have a little over 2 months to have this happen.

I've not made any wild "predictions" before so why place myself in that position for no reason?

I believe in my statement, you don't have to. Pass judgement if you will, I can take it.

Hmmm...well I gotta say I'm a cynic regarding statements like these but like I've said in this thread mrbluehair, you don't have a reputation of leading people astray or acting stupid. So, on your reputation I'm holding off on being ultra cynical about this...

Anything you can share with us? Source? Plot? Any talent involved that you know of? Just...well...anything?

Just remember something to. Even if a movie gets green-lit, it doesn't necessarily mean it will get made. Plenty of films get green-lit and even enter pre-production before they end up getting postponed indefinitely or cancelled altogether.

New Line greenlit a Lost in Space sequel back in 1998 with the entire cast signing on to return (Gary Oldman, William Hurt etc.). Here we are 11 years later and nothing's happened yet.

Marvel was able to get Iron Fist greenlit back in 2000 with Artisan entertainment. Here we are 9 years later and nothing.

Heck Godzilla was greenlit and entered pre-production in 1994 and look what happened. The only reason the film eventually got made 4 years later was because Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich agreed to do it, if they could do it their way. Had they not agreed to do the film, its doubtful Tristars Godzilla would have even seen the light of day.

The only way I'll get "excited" is when this film actually enters production (principal photgraphy).

Untill then I'm not going to sit in the pumpkin patch waiting for The Great Godzilla to show-up.
