Read Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist over the weekend. It was a good book to be sure, but at times (especially towards the end) it was maybe a little bit more Stephen King-ish than I wanted. I think I preferred the ambiguity and subtlety of the film to all the exposition and gore in the book.

Currently reading In the Company of Ogres by A. Lee Martinez.

Finished Johnny Got His Gun. I highly recommend it. It's certainly a different type of read, but it's very intense and engaging.

I just started The Complete Science Fiction Treasury of H.G. Wells yesterday, and I'm about a third of the way through The Time Machine. I read it in high school, as well as a couple of others included in the collection, but a lot of the stuff I found boring at the time is really firing my imagination on this go around.

The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future (Or, Don't Trust Anyone Under 30) by Mark Baurlein

Grown Up Digital: How the Net Generation is Changing Your World by Don Tapscott

While I am not a big fan of statistical books, these were both interesting. I had to read these for a class essay.

Japan Sinks by Sakyo Komatsu. Never seen either of the movie versions, but it's making me want to.

In the midst of volume six of The Savage Sword of Conan. A few pages ago he fought a giant dwarf. Seriously. A dwarf...but a giant one...
